Learning Management System (Agilix)

Overview
Learning and course management have become critical elements of teaching and learning on BYU campus. In an effort to meet the changing needs of faculty and students it is helpful to implement new software in the form of small pilots that we may assess their real-world application and evaluate their effectiveness. These evaluations can be compared to current technologies and provide information that will better inform future decisions regarding learning and course management.

We are currently piloting new learning management software developed by Agilix Labs called BrainHoney. This pilot will run through the Winter 2010 semester. So as not to disrupt a large number of students a limited number of courses are involved in the pilot. Upon completion of the pilot an in-depth evaluation of both student and faculty experience will be conducted in order to determine the viability of the product.
