Backpack

Overview
Blackboard Backpack enables students and instructors to access Blackboard resources when offline—including course documents, assignments, announcements, grades, discussion boards and more. Backpack automatically synchronizes all e-learning content.

Blackboard Backpack also gives students a full electronic note-taking tool, the ability to capture web-based research and annotate on all learning content. Students can organize, annotate and search all text and handwritten notes. Backpack includes a full electronic planner to help student manage assignments, tasks and due dates.

Product Roadmap
Backpack will be offered at least through 2008. Agilix Labs, producer of Backpack, has not published a roadmap for the product.

Training & Support
Backpack can be downloaded free of charge from OIT. Online tutorials are offered by Aglix. For limited support with installation and configuration, contact the Office of IT (it@byu.edu or (801) 422-4000. You may also request support from Agilix.
